Our Story

For over a decade, Hannah and Alex, the wife and husband duo, bought and ran Nibs in El Cerrito, CA. Nibs specialized in classic American diner breakfast and lunch items as well as Asian inspired dishes such as chicken teriyaki. However, due to a kitchen fire, Nibs unfortunately closed in 2013. 

After a short break, Hannah and Alex opened Alex's Giant Burger in San Pablo, CA. During the five years of business, Alex's Giant Burger earned an honorable mention twice for San Pablo's Small Business Award. After much deliberation, Hannah and Alex decided to reopen Nibs and Alex's Giant Burger closed in September 2019.

In February 2020, Nibs reopened in West Oakland, CA at 3112 Market Street. Hannah and Alex look forward to serving up breakfast and lunch to returning and new diners. See you tomorrow!
